Conversion Story YouTube Channel

FYI:

I just found this great YouTube channel of Catholic conversion stories of young people (seems like teen to 20's).

It's here: http://www.youtube.com/user/ToSeeJesus

13 November 2011 Class

Talked about what the Church hopes for. Did an activity for an answer: Heaven/eternal life/for lives of service in the Church via vocations.

Discussed students letters on definitions of Catholicism. Had lively discussion!

As reported in class, Mr. Voris emailed a letter:

Hi Gerry,

Thank you for sharing your class assignments with me. Clearly all your students are exceptionally good thinkers and have the ability to defend and explain the Faith.

Tell them for me to keep it up, and always LOVE THE CHURCH.

GOD Bless,

Michael Voris

6 November 2011 Class

Recorded definitions of Roman Catholicism (RC):
Margaret D.
Eva S.

Eben S.

There was a question about the Apostles. We did an activity about the Apostles (handout that is copyrighted) with the Bible.

Class asked about def. of RC.

Read the following Bible verses: Matthew 16:13-19

Talked about this reading. Discussed fact that the Catholic Church (organized religion) was founded by Jesus himself upon Peter (Rock). (Will discuss Mystical Body of Christ and Church as the Bride of Christ next week.)

The following was drawn and discussed on the board:
Discussed what Michael Voris meant by his definition ("RC is proof that God still loves the world"). (I thought he meant that through the Catholic Church, sacraments are ways that God shows/manifests His love. Eucharist most important. Traces back in history to Peter/last supper/etc.)
